JUNE 2000

The Pool Is Open!
All you need is a pool pass. If you have not yet registered and received your pool pass, all you need to do is come by the office and get signed up!!!

Our pool attendants are on duty to make sure that residents of all ages can enjoy a safe and fun time at the pool. Please follow their directions and treat them with respect…they are your neighbors…

If they provide you with an answer you don’t like, don’t argue with them. Come and see me.

We have new tables and umbrellas at the pool for your comfort and enjoyment this year.

Are You Ready For The Yard Sale?
Don’t forget that June 3rd is the date of our Community Yard Sale – weather permitting….If the weather does not cooperate, we will try for the weekend of the 10th…mark your calendar, clean out those closets and sell, sell, sell ! If you would rather shop than sell this is a great chance to get out, walk around and meet some of your neighbors!

Home Maintenance Corner
Thinking about building a porch? Be sure it is not attached to your home. When your home was designed there were certain load bearing factors taken into consideration for the wall and roof construction. If you build a porch and attach it to an exterior wall, you have essentially added weight that must be supported by that wall. Also, remember that sometimes our homes can shift and settle. If a porch is attached, it may not shift with the home and this can put stress on the structure and frame of your home.

Dr. Doolittle’s Pet Spot
As the weather heats up, you need to make sure you have made the necessary provisions for your pets. They will need more fresh water available more often. Also if you do not have your dog on a heartworm preventative, don’t wait. This is the season for mosquitoes and they will be out in force.
