Happy Birthday – To U.S!!
Independance Day is almost here once again! There are a variety of city and local events planned for your holiday enjoyment and we hope the holday will be a pleasant one for you. Please remember that it is illegal for you to set off fireworks in city limits of Broken Arrow and JOHANNA WOODS IS IN THE CITY LIMITS OF BROKEN ARROW.
Therefore, it is illegal to set off fireworks in Johanna Woods. So, as tempting as it may be to light those fireworks at the end of the driveway or in the street-don’t do it! Every resident of Johanna Woods has agreed to abide by all state, city, local and federal laws. Don’t let a firecracker get you into trouble! Here are some of the events that are planned locally:

Identity Protection Pointers
If you missed our Neighborhood Watch Meeting in June, you missed some important information on keeping your identity safe. Federal statistics show that Identity Theft is the fastest growing crime in America. There are over 500,000 new victims of this crime every year! One of the main reasons for this is that people like you and me do not protect our financial information as carefully as we should. To keep from becoming a statistic, here are some things you need to know and do-or don’t do!
1. Never give out personal information over the phone unless you have initiated the phone call and know who you are talking with.
2. Never include personal financial information in e-mails.
3. Don’t carry your Social Security card in your wallet or purse.
4. Shield the keypad when entering your pin number at an ATM.
5. Shred all documents that have financial information on them before you discard them. If you don’t have a shredder, make sure you don’t set trash bags containing any of this information outside your home overnight.
There are other common sense precautions that can be taken. Watch your newsletter for more tips on how to hang on to what’s yours!
For Johanna Woods Only…
This month we will draw for a $25.00 Gift Certificate from Lowe’s. No special occasion, no special week or day to observeÖ..it’s just because we now have one so close and it’s so much fun to go down there and shop! Get those rent payments in on time and you will be entered for the drawing!
How is My Lot Rent Determined?
If you have ever wondered how the specific amount you pay for lot rental is determined, wonder no more! Lot rental in Johanna Woods is determined by the size of the lot and there are four different size classifications. Some communities charge different prices for doublewide lots than for single wide lots, but we simply decide what size home the lot will best accommodate and follow our set pricing regardless of the size of the home. There is a map in the community office that shows where each home fits into this price structure. New home sales in Johanna Woods qualify for a discounted lot rental as part of the purchase package, but this is the only thing that affects the pricing structure. If you have any questions about your rent, please don’t hesitate to come by or call the office. And feel free to consult the map if you would like to see where your address fits into the scheme of things.
