The Next President Of The United States Is…
Within a few days of receiving this newsletter it will be time for our national elections.  With so much in our country at stake, it is sad that much of what America was founded on is no longer considered relevant by the politicians of either major party.  Judges now make laws rather than determining right and wrong based on law and American government has reached into areas of our everyday lives in ways that were never intended by our founders.  Whether you are pleased or displeased with what is going on in America, this is your opportunity to make your voice heard.  The great privilege of being an American citizen brings with it the great responsibility of being involved in the election process.  It’s a duty and a privilege of a free people.   Democrat, Republican, Independent, whatever… Get out and vote on November 6th!

Happy Thanksgiving
There is a glorious transformation occurring all around us.  The earth is putting off its summer trappings and settling in for winter. In the process, there are some lovely fall colors here and there.  With Thanksgiving on the way, have you stopped to count your blessings lately?  With economic uncertainty all around and a wearying political process about to end, don’t get bogged down. Take a moment and think about what YOU have to be thankful for!  Take time to reflect on the MANY things that we all enjoy—and that we often take for granted.  Let’s spend this Thanksgiving season being truly THANKFUL!

Veteran’s Day
Our freedom, as Americans, was purchased by the blood and toil of many who came before us.  It is preserved by those who defend us.   Along with Thanksgiving, November is when we pay tribute to those who served and those who continue to serve our country.   It is a great sacrifice to leave the comforts of home for the uncertainty of conflict.  Many have not, or will not return.  Thanks to all in our community who have served or are serving our country.  You have made possible for each of us, the continued blessings of liberty and freedom.

Fall Cook’s Corner – Chili!
Ingredients:
2 pounds ground beef—or—1 pound ground beef and 1 pound sausage
2 cloves of garlic, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
1 can pinto beans
1 can ro-tel tomatoes
2 cups salsa—whatever temperature you want!
1 package Williams Chili mix—Tex-Mex or original

Directions:  Brown the meat with the onion and garlic.  Drain and put meat into a dutch oven for stove top cooking or you can put all this into a crock pot.  Add all the other ingredients and simmer until heated through.  This is wonderful, quick and you can make it as spicy or as mild as you like by choosing the salsa that you prefer.  Enjoy!
Note:  No salt is included in the recipe because of all the seasonings that are part of the mix .

Home Inspections Need To Wrap Up!
If you have not finished your home repair/inspection list, please hurry along.  Milder weather is being forecast for this winter, but it would sure be nice to get all of this work complete, so we can kick back and rest during the winter months.  If not, we will be trying to work home repairs in on the good days, with less daylight to work with!  Hurry!

November 1st—Rent is due
November 4th—Daylight Saving Time ends at 2:00 am.  Clocks go back, one hour.
November 6th– Presidential, Senate and Local Elections
November 6th—Rent is late and subject to a $25.00 late fee.
November 11th—Veterans Day.
November 22nd—November 24th the office will be closed for the Thanksgiving Holiday.  Have A Happy Thanksgiving!
