Improvements Are Everywhere!
And so are home improvers! And the community is looking wonderful because of
all the hard work that is going on! Thanks to each of you for making and keeping
your homes beautiful. And isn't it wonderful that we have been blessed with
such mild weather so far this year. How nice when you have to be outside taking
care of those things that need to be done to have a few clouds and mild temperatures.
Hurry and get done, because it won't last forever! All of the initial inspections
have been made and the re-inspections have begun. The inspection process is
vital to the appearance of our community and needs to be given serious and
thorough attention by every homeowner in Johanna Woods. There are homes in
our community that require serious and extensive work, but not very many. And
the inspections help us make sure we are doing what is necessary to make sure
all homes meet certain minimum standards. Special thanks to each of you who
so carefully maintain your homes above and beyond those minimums standards.
We appreciate you and all your hard work!
Neighborhood Watch Has Something For You!
When
we began our Neighborhood Watch Program early this year, we
knew that not everyone would be able to come out to our meetings.
However, we did want to find a way to share certain important
aspects of the program with everyone. So, we have put together
a packet for each home in Johanna Woods. The packets contain
several brochures from the Citizens Crime Commission, an information
page and other goodies! These will be delivered by one of your
neighbors who has volunteered to take a leadership role in
the community. When your packet arrives, please take the time
to look at all the information it contains. It is provided
for your benefit, but will not be of value to you unless you
use it! Be Safe!
Lose A Number?
Have you lost track of an important phone number for someone
that provides a service in the community? If you have, we can
help. Along with this issue of the newsletter you will find
a special page of names, services and contact numbers. neighbors.
Have
You Had It With the Tele-Marketers?!
If I earned a dollar for all the soliciting phone calls
I receive in an average week, I could probably retire 10 years
early! Sound like your house? Here's an address where you can
write and ask to have your name taken off some of the lists.
It's worth a try! Here it is:

Would You Know If A Meth Lab Was Operating Next Door To You?
We want to make sure you would! Meth labs are an increasing and serious
problem for communities in our state. They are easy to operate and a quick
and easy cash source for the dishonest element of our society. And we must
never take for granted that our little community will never have to deal with
this! So, on August 20th, we will have a Neighborhood Watch Meeting to provide
you with information on Meth Labs and signs of other drug related activity.
Please make plans to attend this very important neighborhood meeting, at 7:00
p.m. in the Johanna Woods clubroom. Refreshments will be provided and a door
prize will be given to one lucky attendee. Mark your calendar and make plans
to join us! This is a problem we don't want to deal with, but let's be prepared
- just in case!
