"It's The Little Foxes…
...That spoil the vine." Have you ever heard that phrase? It means it's the "little" things that cause us trouble. Here's an example. We insure our homes to protect from flood, fire, storm, etc. But a few little termites can do more harm than we might ever experience from the events of nature combined. So, what's the point you ask? Re-inspections are underway. There were very few major repairs that were listed on anyone's inspection and that's good news. It means for the most part our homes look good and are being well maintained! So what's the big deal? Why even worry about the small things? Because, if the two or three small things that need to be done this year are ignored, next year those things will STILL need to be done-and more. And before long, homes will begin to look run-down and Johanna Woods will begin to look like a Ïtrailer parkÓ. That's not what we want. Doesn't it make more sense to do the few small things that need to be done each year instead of waiting until there is so much to do that it either can't be done or is too expensive to be done in a year? That's the idea behind an annual inspection program. So, come on! Get those repairs wrapped up! If you need additional time, call the office. If we don't hear from you and items remain undone when we reinspect, you will have less time to wrap things up this year.

Are You Registered to Vote?
There have been several elections in our state already this year and there are more to come. This Fall, the issues we will vote on in Oklahoma have the ability to change our state and country. We will not only be voting on our president for the next four years, we will be taking on important state questions as well. Are you ready to make your voice heard? If you are not registered to vote you can call 405-521-2391 and request that a voter registration application be mailed to you. We also have a few forms in the community office for your convenience. You must be registered at least 24 days prior to an election to vote in that election. Remember, it is your right, privilege and responsibility as an American to vote!

Broken Arrow Schools Start August 12th!
The summer has flown by and it is time for school to start again. We will soon see school buses making their way through the community on a daily basis. And the kids will be gathered waiting for them or walking to meet them. Please be aware of your speed and be watchful for this increase in activity in the mornings and afternoons. We want our roads and our entire community to be safe!

Homes for Sale, Lots for Lease Can Mean Money in Your Pocket!
How about it? With school about to start, could you use an extra $200.00? We still have a few lots to fill and there are some very nice homes for sale in Johanna Woods. If you know someone who is looking to buy a home, tell them about us! If your referral results in a home sale or a new home moving in, you will get a free months rent! And, with our current move-in incentive of $1,000.00, your friend can get a new place to live and money in their pocket, too! If there is an empty lot near you, now is the chance to pick your neighbors. That's something you don't get to do very often. Call the office if you need any details on this great offer. And remember, we are open on Saturdays, too.

Neighborhood Watch
Does anything good happen on the streets of most communities after dark? Ask any police officer and they will tell you it's not likely. That's why there are curfew laws. In Broken Arrow, curfew is 11:00 pm. After that time, no one under the age of 18 is supposed to be out wandering up and down our streets. If you are a parent, make sure that your kids are safely inside by this time each night. As a resident, if you come home late and notice young people out and about, call the police. Ask them to enforce the curfew laws in your area. Whether a person is up to no good or not, trouble has a way of finding people in the middle of the night. We will all be safer if curfew is strictly enforced on our streets.
