If you are internet active you can now read the newsletter on line, let friends and relatives all over the world view your community, and e-mail me if you have an idea, question or concern. I welcome your comments, ideas and suggestions as we strive to make our community all that it can be for our residents. We also have a Business Directory Page where our residents can list their businesses. You can register on-line or fill out the registration form on page 3 of the July Newsletter.

Happy Birthday America!
As we celebrate the 4th of July this year, let’s not forget what this day really commemorates. We live in the most wonderful, free and blessed nation in the world - but those blessings were not obtained, nor will they be kept, at no cost to us. Our nation, like our community, will only be what we make it! Let’s make them both Great! We can do that by being responsible to GOD, our families, our employers, our neighbors and by being thankful for the great blessings we enjoy. Ours is a marvelous heritage as Americans. Let’s celebrate our Independence with Thankfulness!

As you celebrate the 4th of July, it is illegal to set off fireworks of any kind inside the City Limits of Broken Arrow – and Johanna Woods is in the City Limits of Broken Arrow !

…and enjoy Broken Arrow’s Glory Days! On July 1st at the Indian Springs Sports Complex. Where else will you find a fireworks display, a magician, clowns, games, a petting zoo and a band playing ‘50’s and 60’s music – all for free?? Nowhere, my friends! This is a shuttle only event – which means you have to take a shuttle to and from the area - but the cost is only a $1.00 roundtrip shuttle fee for persons age 6 to adult. Age 5 and under ride for free. You can catch the shuttle at several locations around town. There will also be food concessions at this event, but of course, this will be at your own expense. Papa John’s Pizza has agreed to run our very own Johanna Woods pizza special again. During the week of July 9th thru July 15th, order any single topping pizza and have it delivered for only $5.99 + tax!! What a Deal! All you need to do is mention the Johanna Woods special when you order. Order as many as you want as often as you want and enjoy! Just because you live in Johanna Woods! Thanks for being here!

Johanna Woods All-Stars
Johanna Woods is looking for a few young people who would like to become "Johanna Woods All-Stars". What’s a Johanna Woods All-Star? I’m glad you asked! It’s a young person of at least 12 years of age who is willing to volunteer a little of their time to help a neighbor! We have a few residents who because of age, income, or both, have difficulty performing some routine tasks. Maybe it would be to mow or trim a lawn, help clean out a storage building or some other small job but, if you are interested in being a Johanna Woods All-Star come by the office and let me know. All of our volunteers will be treated to a pizza party, private swimming party and ???? who knows what else ???? later in the summer. Let’s do something for someone else! The rewards for caring for others are incredible!
